Class A Tanning Bed

How would one class a tanning bed? There are different levels of tanning beds depending on quality, bed style, and options. Each level is assigned a class, and just to confuse things some manufacturers also add an addition class for specific models. All new commercial tanning bed will be either a Class E or Class S.

• Class A tanning beds are considered entry level tanning beds. This class is often seen on home tanning beds. Class C tanning beds are mid level beds. Class E beds were the high end bed, until recently when class S beds came on the market.
  
• Class A tanning beds are level entry beds normally purchased for home use at a much lower cost than the larger fancier commercial beds. The Class A tanning bed will usually have a narrower body, usually providing 16 to 24 tanning lamps, and it is not equipped with any of the extras such as facial lamps or cooling systems.
  
• The Class C beds place somewhere between the Class A and Class E tanning beds. You may see this class of tanning bed in the home or in smaller salons. It is equipped with quality lamps but will not have all the additional features of a higher end tanning bed.
  
• Class E tanning beds are among the best commercial tanning beds available. Class E beds have more lamps and stronger lamps, producing a deeper longer lasting tan. The Sunscape SS755, Sunscape 765V, Lumina 40 SLI, and the Lumina E 40 XLC are all examples of high end salon Class E beds. The Class E tanning beds are what you most often find in the salons, providing around 26 lamps and additional facial lamps. They have a wider more comfortable body and most time have a cooling system to keep you comfortable during your tanning session

Just when we thought tanning couldn’t get any better, the new Class S tanning bed arrives. This bed is sold for advanced tanner use only. It cuts tanning sessions in half and adds a misting cooling system to keep your skin cool and moist during your tanning session. The misting has another added bonus since moist skin tans 15% faster.

As well the Class S is equipped with additional face tanning time and adjustable intensity levels for the face. Many of the Class S tanning beds also come with an aromatherapy system and relax and rejuvenate you while tanning. The Class S tanning bed comes with a stronger tanning lamps up to 1000 watts, and more tanning lamps as many as 57. AfterBronzers® and Golden Tan have both introduced the new Class S beds.
