When searching for used commercial tanning beds I came across an add that read “Get the tan you want with mega ultra sun tanning bed and tanning bed instructions. Hmm I thought that’s a bed I haven’t heard of. Time to put the fingers to work.

A quick search revealed that the mega ultra sun tanning bed is in fact two different beds made by Sunseekers. Perhaps the advertiser had two beds made into one, or was confused by the instructions which often contain information on more than one bed. Well my interest was already tweaked so I decided to do a little more research on both these beds.

The ultra bed is the level entry bed. It is provides a rich golden tan with out the high intensity of other beds. A good choice for fair skinned individuals, people who burn easily, or those who are trying a tanning bed for the first time.

Three 400 watt lamps are used for facial tanning, and thirty-two 100 watt lamps are used to tan the body. The maximum recommended session time is 20 minutes.

The mega bed is one level above the level entry ultra bed. It will provide a more complete tan in a less amount of time. It is still considered a good bed to start with.

Four 500 watt lamps are used for facial tanning, and forty-four 160 watt lamps are used to tan the body. The maximum recommended session time is 15 minutes

There are many other tanning beds on the market offering comparable products at competitive products. One thing about the tanning industry, most of the respected manufacturers are very in tune to the customer’s needs and wants.

After all tanning is big business! Because each of these big companies is rallying for the consumers business, they usually each have a comparable product available to match the competitions.
