 UV Portable Sun Lamps

Tanning bed manufactureres have tanning bed lamps on sale

This time of year, tanning bed manufacturers have tanning bed lamps on sale. So you’re wondering if you could buy a few UV portable sun lamps and tan your whole body, for a fraction of the cost of a tanning bed.

Well, yes…..I guess you could, after all the portable lamps use the same type of bulbs as the beds, distributing UV rays to the skin. But…. There are a few things you’re going to want to think about!

How are you going to get an even tan that doesn’t look like a bad bottle experience? How many lamps will you need to cover the entire body the same way a tanning bed would? Would it really work out cheaper?

There are many reasons for purchasing a sun lamp. They are perfect for keeping color on your face, or for spot tanning. They are often used for treating acne, eczema, or psoriasis. They are also used in the treating of SAD. They take up little room and they are affordable.

But to tan your whole body with a sun lamp could be a little tricky. That’s not to say it can’t be done. You could cover your entire body with 5 or 10 minute increments which would keep your tan relatively even. But I hope you’ve got lots of time.

If you watch for used home tanning beds you can purchase a bed for the price of several lamps and then you can do some serious tanning.

Now perhaps you don’t have room for a tanning bed in your home, and your pocket book won’t allow for regular salon visits. Then it’s time to get creative with your tanning lamp.

Purchase a minimum of two lamps. Build your self a collapsible bed using the aluminum blankets you find in emergency kits. These reflect the sun quite nicely. Have a place to set your lamps at both ends and on both sides. Crawl into your make shift bed and remember to rotate just like you would under the sun.

Using a sun lamp comes with the same risks as using a tanning bed. Be certain to wear proper goggles. Use an indoor tanning lotion with an SPF. SPF 15 is what is recommended by health professionals. Spend no more than 20 minutes under the lamps every second day.

If you can find a place to put a tanning bed, then go that route if at all possible. You can also budget for two or three visits to the salon per month and then use the lamp[s] as an enhancement for the balance of the month. You know the old saying, where there’s a will, there’s a way! If you are determined to tan your whole body with tanning lamps then I’m sure you can accomplish it.
